Doing laundry is one of my least favorite things to do, I feel like going on a bit of a rant on how I detest laundry days, but I know they are necessary to keep pleasant hygiene. Every time I begin to do laundry, it somehow becomes a full day job. I don’t have a washing machine in my home, so I have to actually go to a laundromat, which means I have a very high chance of forgetting something at home. Whenever I forget to wash an important item of clothing, another trip must be made to the laundromat and more time must be spent washing clothing. Aside from the fact that I have to actually leave home to do laundry, I find the entire process of washing clothes quite monotonous, and any attempts to liven up laundromats, often fail to kill the utter lack of excitement of the laundry day. I have been told time and time again to use a washing service since I find such despair in the task of washing clothes, and I know these types of services are abundant in New York, but I just can’t trust a stranger with my clothing. I guess I will just have to deal with the tedious task of doing laundry, until I decide to let others do it for me, or at least until 10 minute washing machines are created.
